Jukola 2008. Participating in Jukola Orienteering Relay with OLG Biberist SO, followed by a couple days in and around Helsinki and Tallin.

2006

Holidays 2006/07 Touring in Switzerland with Lukas, Martin, Michel, and Friends
San Francisco. Trip to the AGU meeting in San Francisco. A weekend of hiking (and fine dining) with Poldi South of San Francisco and visit to the Golden Gate in the city.
Franconia State Park . All the snow is gone:-( Thus hike and run around Lafayette campground, with part of the Franconia and Kinsman Ridge Trails.
First skiing at Mount Mansfield in Stowe. A first skitour on the skimountain of Stowe - including the summit of Mt. Mansfield. The base is good already and there was even a snowstorm - an artificial one.
Biking (and hiking;-) the Crawford Richpole trail in the Sandwich Range of the White Mountains.
Biking the Wapack ridge trail. Great technical MTB in southern New Hampshire and northern Maine.
Blueberry and Black mountain and Tunnel Brook trail. Another cool slickrock and singeltrack ride in the White Mountains.
Mt. Cardigan and Moosilauke Hiking with my parents up two mountains in New Hampshire
Mountain-biking NH: in Lebanon (images 1 to 5) and Lyme (images 6,7) and Franconia Notch State Park visited by road-bike.
Road-bike trip over Kancamagus highway: Lebanon-Canaan-Warren-Lincoln-Kancamagus-Conway-Ashland-Danbury-Lebanon (ca. 290km), I read afterwards that I went during the New Hampshire Motorcycle-weekend, which explained why the motorbikes were at least as numerous as on a sunny summer-weekend on st. gotthard or julier... and the american version of a harley-davidson is about 10 times as loud as a european one ;-)
Skitouring week may 2006 . After Patrouille de Glacier skitouring with Lukas and Jim in Vallais, Switzerland and Chamonix, France with Petit Combin, Combin de Corbassiere, Grand Combin, Mont Velan, traversee des trois Mont Blancs.
Mt. Washington, Tuckermans Ravine . This time with better weather, a little better snow, much more people, and the camera.
Mt. Sunapee . Hike and run up to Mount Sunapee and south on the Monadnock Greenway Trail.
Mt. Moosilauke, 4805 (feet) above sea level . Some limited training opportunities for the Patrouille des Glaciers can even be found in New Hampshire!
